A rare Spanish promo CD featured an edit version and a live acoustic version from Spanish radio in January 1993. It lists the single as "Acoustic Version" but it is the strings version - not to be confused with the original 1992 UK version (now included on the Adrenalize Deluxe Edition). The US promo CD featured both the single version and the electric version to promote the 'Retro-Active' release. The outer lid had "DEF LEPPARD Two Steps Behind" embossed on it. It featured the same CD as the regular version and a circular card with the front cover on one side and tracklisting on the other all housed within the tin which contained protective foam. Two UK CDs were released, both with the same tracklisting but one was a Limited Edition in a black metal tin case. It also gave the band their second number one single, reaching the top spot in South Africa, Spain and Portugal. The song became a big hit and reached number 32 in the UK and number 12 in the US. It was included as part of the 'Last Action Hero' movie soundtrack in July 1993 with new strings added on.
